Scout Eagle Projects

Join us this Sunday August 11th we kick off 2 Eagle projects after Sunday School:

Joy’s Eagle Project: A memorial for Abouna Rafail Guirguis

Emily’s Eagle Project: Bringing sports to the youth. 

We invite 7th Grade and up to help. Food and Drinks will be provided.

Recommendations: Bring a change of clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, Wear sunscreen, Wear proper shoes that are not open toed and they may get dirty.

Also to kickoff Joys Eagle Project she will be selling fans brands and Falafel sandwiches and French fries after the liturgy.

Fr Peter Makarious arrival and receiving reception

Congratulations to us all on the ordination of our beloved father Abouna Peter Makarious.

We thank God for His care and providence for us and we also thank His Holiness Pope Tawadrous II and His Grace Anba Gabriel for their care for us and helping fulfill and complete our joy by ordaining Abouna Peter for our beloved church. 

Join us on Wednesday 8/14/2024 at 10 AM to greet Abouna upon his arrival at Newark International Airport (Egypt Air Flight MS987). 

For those who have reserved to go with us, we will be meeting at church on Wednesday morning 8/14/2024 at 8:45 AM and will be leaving promptly at 9 AM.

Unfortunately there isn’t any space left but others that would like to go are welcome to meet us at the airport.

The rites for the Receiving Reception at the church will be held on Thursday night 8/22/2024 from 6-9 PM.  

May the Lord bless Abouna’s service and keep him for us many years and peace times.

Ordination Watch Party

The peace and love of our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ be with you all.

Ordination Watch Party tonight at 9:30 pm! 

As you all know Mr. Kirolous Makarious’ ordination is this Saturday, July 6th, in Egypt. Due to the time difference, the ordination liturgy will begin at 11 pm (EST) TONIGHT with the expectation of the actual ordination to begin around 1 am (EST). The church is planning on having a watch party this tonight following the normal Friday night schedule, which concludes around 9:30 pm. 

We will then have:

– Tasbeha roughly from 9:30/10 – 12 am

– Games and fellowship roughly from 12 – 1/1:30 

– And Ordination live stream starting around 1/1:30

Any incoming high school freshmen and younger need to have their own parent present the entire time. Sophomore – seniors don’t need a parent, but their parents need to sign waiver for them to stay and they need their ride to be present if they’re not driving themselves at the end of the ordination. NO EXCEPTIONS. 

NOTE:  Live stream link to be send out as soon as liturgy begins.

St Anthony Graduation Dinner

Summer Camp Begins Monday 6/24

The peace and love of our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ be with you all.

God willing, we will have Summer Camp Monday nights for youths in 1st grade – 8th grade beginning June 24 through August 26 from 6:30pm – 9pm. 

No registration is required. 

There will be no camp on August 19th for Nahda.

There will be snacks available for purchase, sports, games and activities for the youth as well as practice for Mahragan El Keraza. We will conclude with Agpeya prayers from 8:30-9 pm. Parents are highly encouraged to attend and pray with their kids.
